Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS)
BZH and ZMBH have established a common FACS facility which is operated by a scientist funded by the DFG collaborative research center 638. A state of the art Becton-Dickinson FACS Aria cell sorter is available for cell sorting experiments that has been funded by the Dietmar Hopp foundation. Additionally, analytical flow cytometers (Becton-Dickinson FACSCalibur and FACSCanto, respectively) are available at both BZH and ZMBH. The FACS facility has been made available to all scientists of the University of Heidelberg.
