Prof. Dr. Cristina Paulino from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, has accepted a call as Professor for Structural Biology at the Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center. Cristina is a renowned expert in the structural analysis of membrane proteins employing cryo-electron microscopy and headed the cryoEM unit and core facility at the University of Groningen. She is interested in deciphering the structure-function relationship of membrane transporters and will head the structural biology technology platform at BZH that forms the core structure of the HDCryoNet research network.  Cristina will start working at BZH in March 2023.
