DFG grants a third funding period of the Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TRR 186 Berlin-Heidelberg

Together with Freie Universität Berlin, Heidelberg University was granted a third funding period for the Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TRR 186 (https://www.dfg.de/de/service/presse/pressemitteilungen/2024/pressemitteilung-nr-23).
The TRR 186 consortium investigates the molecular mechanisms by which molecular switches coordinate cellular signal transmission processes in space and time. With the third funding period,TRR 186 will be supported by the DFG for a total of 12 years. From 2016 to 2022, Heidelberg University led the consortium with Walter Nickel serving as the speaker. Since 2022, our colleagues in Berlin have taken over, with Christian Freund heading the research consortium until it concludes in 2028.
