Biosciences

Students of bioscience can take various courses at the BZH during their undergraduate and graduate studies. As early as the first semester, we offer a course on current topics in the life sciences. During the second semester we offer lectures as well as follow-up seminars and lab-practicals on the basics of biochemistry. For students in their fourth and fifth semesters, we offer specialised seminars with integrated hands-on courses, this way students learn e.g. to investigate the regulation of gene expression using different techniques.
For the international masters course Molecular Biosciences, the BZH ist part of the focus Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB). Group leaders of the BZH give lectures on their research topics and offer so-called lab rotations. Naturally, a master's thesis can be attached.
For those interested, there is also the possibility of doing a master in one of the research groups.
