Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schuck from the Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie in Heidelberg (ZMBH) has accepted a call as Professor for Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology at the Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center. Sebastian was a Junior Group Leader within the CellNetworks Cluster of Excellence at Heidelberg University. His lab has made significant contributions to the molecular understanding of endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis, including discoveries regarding size control, morphogenesis and autophagy of the organelle.
The Schuck lab will move to the BZH in October and strengthen the BZH's research focus on the biochemistry of biological membranes.
