DFG funds new Collaborative Research Center SFB 1638 in Heidelberg

Heidelberg University has received the green light for funding a new Collaborative Research Centre, SFB 1638 (https://www.dfg.de/de/service/presse/pressemitteilungen/2024/pressemitteilung-nr-23).
The SFB 1638 is a new initiative focused on understanding the dynamics of cellular membranes and how membrane remodeling events are coupled to generate physiological processes.
 
During the first funding period, the DFG will support SFB 1638 for four years, until 2028. The initiative is headed by Michael Meinecke, who will serve as the speaker of this SFB.
