This year, the BZH for the first time participated in “Türen auf mit der Maus”. During this event, which takes place annually on October 3, nearly one thousand companies, museums, laboratories and other institutions opened their doors to show children what they are doing.

At the BZH, 30 visitors aged five to ten performed experiments in our teaching laboratory, involving bubbling coloured bath foam, frozen flowers, red cabbage juice that changed colour and microscopes built from LEGO bricks. The consensus highlight, though, was the ice cream we made ourselves with liquid nitrogen.
