Teaching at BZH

Chemistry

For students of chemistry, we offer a mandatory module in the third semester, as well as an elective in the fourth and fifth semesters.
The mandatory module includes lectures and seminars on the basics of biochemistry. At the same time, the students learn the proper handling of laboratory equipment and analyse different biomolecules during hands-on labwork.
In the elective module, students gain profound knowledge in biochemistry workflows for cloning, expression and purification, and into sophisticated techniques of RNA biochemistry and structural biology.
Master students complete lab rotations at the BZH and participate in research seminars. Due to the high demand for our elective modules, we have the privilege to select the best students for the bachelor, master and doctoral theses.
